How Chee Seng Tong handles the information you give us, whether you walk into the shop, message us, or order online.
一 Who we are
The short version.
Chee Seng Tong Lakeview Traditional Medicine Shop (UEN 09363300M) trades from 200 Upper Thomson Road #01-02, Thomson Imperial Court, Singapore 574424. We are the only Chee Seng Tong at this address and we have no branches.
We collect as little as we can, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
二 What we collect
What we hold, and why.
When you order from the shop: your name, delivery address, phone number and email, plus the contents of your order. We need these to pack and deliver it.
When you use the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email if you give one, and your message. We use these only to reply to you.
When you visit the website: standard server logs and, if you consent, basic analytics. These tell us which pages people read; they do not identify you personally.
What we deliberately do not collect online: medical history, diagnoses, prescriptions or identification numbers. Please do not send those through the website. Bring them to the counter or tell the physician in person.
三 Payments
We never see your card.
Card payments are handled by our payment provider. Your card number is entered on their system, not ours, and we never store it. We keep a record of what was ordered, what it cost, and where it was sent.
四 Who else sees it
Only those who have to.
Our delivery partner sees the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your parcel. Our payment provider sees what it needs to take payment. Our web host stores the site and its database. Nobody else receives your details, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
We will disclose information if the law requires it — for example, a lawful request from a Singapore authority.
五 How long we keep it
Not indefinitely.
Order records are kept for five years, because tax and business records must be. Enquiry messages are kept for one year, then deleted. Anything you ask us to delete sooner, we will delete unless we are legally required to keep it.
六 Your rights
Ask us anything.
Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 6251 3268, message us on WhatsApp, or speak to someone at the counter. We will respond within thirty days.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
七 Cookies
Kept to a minimum.
The website sets cookies needed to run the shopping basket and to remember your text-size preference. If you never add anything to a basket, almost nothing is stored. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the shop will simply forget your basket.
